Dawn Barrios, a partner in the New Orleans law firm Barrios, Kingsdorf & Casteix, graduated from Tulane Law School and then clerked for the Chief Justice of the Louisiana Supreme Court. She concentrates her practice in plaintiffs’ complex litigation, class actions, and MDLs.
Some of the current Multi-District Litigation cases she has been selected by the Court to oversee are Chinese Drywall, Vioxx, Xarelto, and GM. She is Co-Liaison Counsel in the Taxotere MDL in the Eastern District of Louisiana. She has been named by MDL Courts as Lead Counsel, member of the Executive Committee, member of the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee, Chair of the Federal-State Liaison Committee, and member of several common benefit fee committees.
She has made numerous presentations at the request of the ABA, AAJ, Louisiana Bar Association, Louisiana Association of Justice, and both Tulane and LSU law schools on topics germane to complex litigation and MDLs.
