Our newest attorney, Arati Furness, adds a new perspective to our pharmaceutical and medical device division.
Arati graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Psychology in 1999 then went on to pursue her law degree from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (now Texas A&M School of Law). She began her law career working in insurance in California before moving back to the great state of Texas.
Her past experience working as defense counsel provides an advantage to the firm. She has a better understanding of the inner workings of defendants and this has helped her become an incredible advocate for plaintiffs.
Sadly, Arati's jump back to Texas was initially spurred by a family emergency. Her father, suffered at the hand of a negligent doctor ““ and still suffers more than a decade later.
Most recently, Arati worked tirelessly at a large plaintiff firm here in Texas advocating for thousands of plaintiffs who were wronged by bad pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers.
Outside of work, Arati makes sure to have plenty of family time. This includes playing with their german shepherd, cycling, traveling (when not in a pandemic) and watching plenty of hockey.
