Daniel S. Robinson is a partner in the Newport Beach office of Robinson Calcagnie Robinson Shapiro Davis‚ Inc. (RCRSD)‚ specializing in civil litigation. Mr. Robinson is admitted to practice law in New York‚ Pennsylvania and California. Mr. Robinson has conducted several trials to date‚ including a 17-day trial in 2010 where a Los Angeles jury returned a verdict of $14‚548‚350.76 for a plaintiff who became a paraplegic when defendant’s SUV ran a stop sign.

In 2011‚ the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association awarded Mr. Robinson the 2011 OCTLA Young Gun Award for “exceptional trial skills‚ ideals of legal ethics and dedication to the principal of preserving access to a justice system for every person.” In July 2014, Mr. Robinson received the 2014 American Association of Justice Wiedemann & Wysocki Award for demonstrating a “commitment to their profession and support for improving the civil justice system.”  Mr. Robinson was selected as a Super Lawyer bySuper Lawyers magazine in 2014 and 2015 and as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2012 and 2013. In 2014, Mr. Robinson was selected by his peers for inclusion in the “The Best Lawyers in America” published by Best Lawyers magazine. In 2012‚ Mr. Robinson was chosen by the National Trial Lawyers association as one of the “Top 40 (Lawyers) Under 40″ in the United States. In January 2015, Mr. Robinson was selected by the Daily Journal as one of the top 20 attorneys under 40 in California.

On July 25, 2014, Mr. Robinson was appointed Co-Lead counsel in the Risperdal® and Invega® Product Liability Cases, JCCP No. 4775, by  the Hon. William F. Highberger. In December 2012, Mr. Robinson was appointed to the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee in the Biomet M2a Magnum MDL by the Hon. Robert L. Miller, Jr.  In 2012, Mr. Robinson was appointed to the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in the In re Actos Product Liability Cases coordinated proceeding, JCCP No. 4696, by the Hon. Kenneth R. Freeman. Mr. Robinson was also selected to the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in the Fosamax Femur Fracture coordinated proceeding, In re Fosamax/Alendronate Sodium Drug Cases, JCCP No. 4644.  In 2009, Mr. Robinson was appointed to the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee for the federal multidistrict proceeding for the Contaminated Heparin Litigation, MDL 1953, by the Honorable James G. Carr, Chief Judge of the Northern District of Ohio.  Mr. Robinson currently serves as the National Co-Chair of the American Association of Justice (AAJ) YAZ/Yasmin/Ocella and Biomet Magnum Litigation Groups.
