Speaker Bio

Debbie Pritts is a legal nurse consultant at Wallace Miller. With over 20 years of clinical nursing experience in a variety of settings, Debbie has played an integral role in several highly complex product liability and personal injury cases. Her expertise allows the attorneys to acquire a complete understanding of the medical aspects in their cases.  

Debbie’s extensive and diverse clinical experience allows her to analyze the merits of defective medical devices and product mass tort claims. In her role, Debbie assists in developing the intake criteria for cases, performing a chronology and analysis of medical records to identify medical causation and confounders to necessarily evaluate cases. Debbie’s work helps bridge the gap between the fields of medicine and law, through research from a variety of sources including peer-reviewed journal articles, medical textbooks, and government agencies. Additionally, she assists in locating expert witnesses, working with them throughout cases, and assists the attorneys when preparing for depositions and trials. She collaborates with our staff to educate and explain new cases to provide a thorough understanding for completing intakes, ordering the necessary records, locating product identification in the records and recognizing the damages. 

She has worked on numerous product liability cases against pharmaceutical and medical device giants including the manufacturers of Vioxx, Ketek, Tequin, Bausch & Lomb ReNu MoisturLoc Solution, asthma medications, Yaz, Yasmin and Ocella oral contraceptives, SSRI antidepressants, Actos, Granuflo dialysis concentrates, Testosterone, Zofran, Risperdal, Invokana, Xarelto, Zantac, Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF), Elmiron as well as those product liability cases consisting of injuries caused by unreasonably dangerous and defective products. Additionally, she has worked on several medical device cases including Guidant and Medtronic Heart Devices, Sprint Fidelis leads, Kugel hernia mesh, DePuy ASR and other metal on metal hip implants, Exactech hip, knee and ankle replacement devices and vaginal mesh and sling products used in the surgical procedure treatment of women who suffer from stress urinary incontinence, Essure and Paragard contraceptive devices and duodenoscopes causing multi drug resistant infections, as well as consumer products against the manufacturers of Roundup and Paraquat weedkillers, Johnson and Johnson talcum powder, baby formula and 3M earplugs. 

In her free time, Debbie enjoys volunteering and serving in professional organizations. Additionally, she enjoys spending time with her husband and family and advocating for her many family members and friends with their healthcare needs.
