Speaker Bio

Hailey Watts is a native Texan. She was born in Corpus Christi before moving to San Antonio for the remainder of her childhood. Following high school graduation, Hailey attended The University of Texas at Austin where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Business. She ultimately went on to earn her law degree from The University of Texas School of Law in May 2022.

During law school, Hailey was a student attorney for the Actual Innocence Clinic working closely with wrongfully convicted individuals on their actual innocence claims and efforts to gain their release. In her final year of law school, Hailey was chosen to be an advanced student attorney for the Children’s Rights Clinic. With her student bar card, Hailey represented nine different children in all phases of DFPS cases including two successful trials where she was asked to sit as first chair, question key witnesses, and deliver opening and closing statements.

In pursuit of her passion to help victims of sexual assault, Hailey spent time interning for the Texas Office of the Attorney General’s Human Trafficking Unit, the Travis County District Attorney’s Office’s Child Abuse Unit, and for The Honorable Gisela D. Triana of the Third Court of Appeals in Austin, Texas. Knowing she eventually wanted to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a personal injury lawyer, Hailey also interned at personal injury firms in Houston, Texas, and Melville, New York before deciding to move home to join Watts Guerra as an associate in 2023.

During her free time, Hailey loves to travel, cheer on the longhorns, and enjoy the outdoors with her husband and dog, Chunk.
