Speaker Bio

Robert M. Dow, Jr. is a United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Following law school, he clerked for Judge Joel Flaum on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit before joining Mayer Brown where he focused on telecommunications matters in the litigation practice and was a member of the firm ‘s Supreme Court and appellate practice group. His practice also included state and federal constitutional law, jurisdiction, civil procedure, preemption, mass tort and products liability, admissibility of expert testimony and class actions.

In law school, he was Supervising Editor of the Harvard Journal on Legislation and served on the Editorial Board of the Harvard Human Rights Journal. He was also a Rhodes Scholar.
