Jan K. Durrani is an associate attorney at Levin Papantonio Rafferty and focuses his practice on mass torts. He graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies. Jan then received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of law in 2012. Mr. Durrani also hold a Master’s in Business Administration.
Before becoming a plaintiff’s attorney, Jan worked for nearly eight years at a statewide, trial law firm in Orlando, Florida, where he gained extensive experience defending corporations in complex product liability, medical malpractice, trucking, general negligence, and commercial actions. A partner in the firm, Jan defended Fortune 500 companies until he was injured himself several years ago when a firepit exploded at his apartment complex and he suffered serious burns all over his body. After a long, but successful recovery, Jan decided he wanted to use his legal expertise to help other personal injury victims.
“It was eye-opening to see how victims are treated,” Jan explained. “Being injured myself, I’m glad for the opportunity to fight for people at such a prominent and respected law firm like Levin Papantonio Rafferty and have the chance to work legacy cases that impact people around the country.”
Currently, Jan is working on two mass torts projects at the firm, opioids and paraquat.
