Speaker Bio

Mr. Coleman is a principal, the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of Integrated Financial Settlements, Inc. (“IFS”), the largest provider of structured settlement annuities in the United States, holding a 40% market share. IFS also provides innovative attorney fee and non-qualified solutions for its clients as well as being a partner in Providio MediSolutions, a leader in government benefits solutions, MSA administration and lien resolution. Mr. Coleman is also a founder, partner, and the manager of Alpha Artists, LLC and Index Methodologies, LLC, leading designers of equity-indexed annuity products.

Mr. Coleman previously served as a partner and the head of the Corporate, Securities and General Business Practice Group at the Atlanta based law firm of Hartman, Simons, Spielman & Wood LLP (“HSSW”). Before joining HSSW, Mr. Coleman served as Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel and Board Member of Investar Holdings, Inc. (“Investar”), a specialty insurance and financial services organization consisting of an insurance agency, two (2) structured settlement agencies, a financial services company, a business management company, and a business brokerage company. Prior to his tenure at Investar, Mr. Coleman practiced law at the international law firm of Troutman Sanders, LLP in its Atlanta office.

Mr. Coleman has over 20 years of experience in the structured settlement industry, having originally started representing Millennium Settlements, Inc. in 1995. Mr. Coleman received his undergraduate degree in 1991 Cum Laude from Princeton University, in Princeton, New Jersey, and his law degree in 1995 from University of Virginia School of Law, in Charlottesville, Virginia. He is a member of the Georgia and Atlanta Bar Associations and is active in the National Structured Settlements Trade Association, currently serving as co-chairman of its Legislative and Regulatory committee.
