Tara Sutton is a Partner and Chair of the Mass Tort Litigation Department and an elected Member of the Executive Board at Robins Kaplan LLP. She concentrates her practice in pharmaceutical and medical device litigation. Ms. Sutton has served as court-appointed trial counsel in numerous federal multi-district and state coordinated mass tort proceedings. These cases include the Stryker ABGII/Rejuvenate, Chantix, Mirapex and Vioxx products liability litigations. She was also a member of the historic Minnesota Tobacco trial team, representing the State of Minnesota and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota. Today, she serves on the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee and Chairs the Science & Expert Committee in the Benicar Products Liability MDL.
In 2015, the National Law Journal named Tara one of the 75 outstanding women lawyers in America. She has been recognized by Benchmark Litigation as a “Plaintiff Top 150 Women in Litigation” and a “Litigation Star,” and by Best Lawyers as the 2016 Mass Tort—Plaintiff’s Lawyer of the Year for Minnesota. Law Dragon recently named her one of the nation’s 500 leading lawyers. Ms. Sutton is the President-elect of the Public Justice Foundation and has served on the Board of the Minneapolis Children’s Theatre for many years.
