David was born and raised in Galveston, Texas.  After graduating from Texas Tech University in 1999 with a B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology, he moved to Houston and worked in the national effort to sequence the human genome at Baylor College of Medicine’s Human Genome Sequencing Center.

David left the sequencing center to attend University of Houston Law Center, where he participated in mock trial, was an editor for the Houston Journal of Health Law and Policy, clerked for a small firm and a district judge, and published the original article “The Need for Increased Oversight of Genetic Testing:  A Detailed Look at the Genetic Testing Process.”

After graduating from law school, David joined a defense firm that specialized in trying pharmaceutical-based lawsuits to verdict.  He spent the first part of his career developing successful trial tactics and witnesses for over a dozen pharmaceutical trials, including multi-plaintiff cases and death cases in Federal Courts around the country.

Now David is taking his skills to the fight on behalf of individuals who have been harmed.  He is currently serving on national leadership committees for Plaintiffs in two mass tort actions involving pharmaceuticals.  He has extensive expertise in recruiting and developing expert witnesses, trial strategy development, direct and cross examination, and simplifying complex concepts into easy to understand, persuasive stories.

David’s areas of practice include Pharmaceutical Litigation, Medical Device Litigation, Mass Torts, Class Actions, and Personal Injury. 100% of his practice is devoted to litigation.

David is currently serving as a member of the Plaintiff’s Executive Committee in the Gilead TDF California JCCP litigation and chairs the science and expert committee.
