Mr. McCorvey is an accomplished trial attorney and the founder of McCORVEY LAW, LLC. He has been named a “œSuper lawyer” by the rating service that recognizes the top 5 percent of lawyers in each state. He also has been certified as a member of the Million Dollar Advocates forum. As a member of the Louisiana and Texas Bars, he has a vast scope of experience in the legal profession on the state, federal and national level. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993 from Louisiana State University (LSU) and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the Southern University Law Center in 1998. He was an ALL-SEC strong safety for the LSU Football team as well as an ALL-SEC academic student-athlete. Mr. McCorvey served as proud member of the LSU Fighting Tigers Football team from 1988-1993. As a member of the Fighting Tigers, he received All-SEC honors in 1991, All academic SEC honors from 1991-1993. His LSU academic honors also included being an LSU Athletic Directors Cup recipient from 1990 -1993 and the recipient of the Andrew Gumby Award in 1993, given to the Latin student with the highest grade point average.
With a passion for civic engagement, for several years he hosted a weekly radio program, “œAsk a Lawyer” on the KJBC radio station and answered critical legal questions for residents throughout the Southwest Louisiana area. Additionally, he has also served as a board member on the board of directors for the LSU National “œL” Club and is a past president of the “œL” Club. The “œL” Club is the alumni organization for all former LSU athletic letterwinners.
