Speaker Bio

Kelly L. Osborne is the Managing Paralegal and Mass Torts Coordinator for Childers, Schlueter & Smith, LLC in Atlanta, GA. Her focus for the last fourteen years has been as lead paralegal for products liability, in the areas of orthopedic prosthesis such as hips and knees (DePuy, Stryker, Wright, etc.) as well as Trans Vaginal Mesh, Mirena, Reglan and Pradaxa. More recently she is lead paralegal on NEC (necrotizing enterocolitis) and is assisting in trafficking cases. As the Managing Paralegal, she is responsible for training and managing the paralegals and staff in the firm. As Mass Tort Coordinator, she ensures projects have the proper resources such as personnel and technology to ensure all judicial orders and obligations can be met and acts as an additional resource for staff and makes sure 100% client satisfaction is maintained. Kelly has been a paralegal working specifically for Plaintiffs for over twenty years.

Kelly received her bachelor’s in American studies from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL and graduated with high honors. Kelly was a Florida Registered Paralegal and a Guardian ad litem prior to relocating to Atlanta fifteen years ago. Kelly is a member of Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, Georgia Association of Paralegals, National Association of Legal Assistants and the American Bar Association. Kelly is a faculty member of MTMP Paralegal College and frequently speaks at events.

Kelly was an avid runner who completed many races including the Chicago Marathon in 2016. However, due to an injury, she now spends time on her bike, as well as doing yoga and strength training. Kelly is married to Darrell, and they have been together for sixteen years. Kelly has three daughters and a son in law as well as two grand-dogs and a grand-cat. Her children are a constant source of joy, happiness and enlightenment, while her four-legged children, Oliver, Gandalph, Sansa and Arya, better known as the furry cat overlords, are a constant source of entertainment and laughter.
