Speaker Bio

Anya Fuchs is a civil litigator with over two decades of experience representing injured people and their families in both complex tort and mass tort litigations throughout the State of California
Anya has spent her career working with and for some of California’s most prominent plaintiff’s law firms—Kazan, McClain, Satterley & Greenwood, PLC; Paul & Hanley LLP; Rose Klein & Marias LLP; Maune, Raichle, Hartley French & Mudd, LLC; Weitz & Luxenberg; Law Offices of Trey Jones; The Farrise Firm, among others.


Anya is currently on Leadership, serving as Plaintiffs’ Co-Chair and Liaison Counsel in California Judicial Council Coordinating Proceeding 5305, a proceeding dedicated to the litigation of over one hundred cases pending in California State Court arising from injuries sustained from “Onewheel” electric skateboards. Anya also serves on Plaintiffs’ Leadership for the concurrently pending federal proceeding (Multidistrict Litigation 3087).


Anya has earned a reputation as a skilled and driven pre-trial, trial and appellate writing attorney and takes pride in being part of the profoundly important impact legal writing has had in product liability litigations. Her writing efforts have produced a phenomenally successful body of work, with her appellate efforts resulting in several favorable published opinions.


Anya has served as an Adjunct Professor of Legal Research, Writing & Analysis at University of San Francisco School of Law and continues to guest lecture in upper division appellate advocacy courses multiple times per year.


Anya graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 1997 from which she earned several Bachelor of Arts; she graduated cum laude from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2001.


Anya was born and raised in Berkeley, California and comes from a long line of academics, educators, and writers. She currently lives in Oakland with her son and husband. If she is not spending time with her family, at the law library, or writing, she is likely taking her daily bike ride across the Bay Bridge.
