Dr. April Zambelli-Weiner is a Senior Epidemiologist and Biostatistician with over 16 years of experience in providing scientifically rigorous research and consulting services to diverse clients in both the public and private sectors. Known for high standards, reliable results and quality work products, Dr. Zambelli-Weiner has successfully led teams of researchers and business units in producing impactful results and achieving the highest client satisfaction ratings. As the Chief Executive Officer for TTI, Dr. Zambelli-Weiner has overall responsibility for corporate operations, development, and administrative functions.

Dr. Zambelli-Weiner has extensive experience in all phases of epidemiologic, health services and outcome research including the design, conduct and analysis of data from large multi-site population based studies, retrospective databases, administrative claims databases and registries. Under her leadership, TTI is dedicated to translational science and public health, which involves improving the quality, ease of use, visibility and application of data and data systems to improve health-related decision making.

Dr. Zambelli-Weiner’s areas of expertise include epidemiological methods, biostatistics, chronic diseases, clinical immunology, human genetics and genetic epidemiology, and environmental health and she possesses extensive experience studying health outcomes across the lifespan, from birth defects, asthma, and rare pediatric cancers to Huntington’s disease, cardiovascular disease, neurological impairments, aging and injury, among others.

Prior to starting TTI, Dr. Zambelli-Weiner served as a Senior Scientist and Chief Operating Officer for Epidemiology International for over 8 years. Dr. Zambelli-Weiner holds a Ph.D. in Statistical Genetics/Epidemiology from Johns Hopkins University, an M.P.H. in Community Health/Epidemiology from Saint Louis University and a B.A. in Chemistry and English from Washington & Jefferson College.
