Ashley Hadler is a personal injury attorney and focuses her practice helping victims of nursing home abuse, medical malpractice, sexual abuse, and wrongful death. Ashley recently returned to practice law in Indianapolis after representing victims of nursing home negligence and other personal injury matters in Illinois and northern Indiana for a number of years.
Ashley has an extensive background in science including biology, chemistry, and physics. She was a member of the Health Law Society and earned a Certificate in Health Law which allowed her to concentrate on topics including medical malpractice, insurance law, and elder law. This knowledge provided her a deeper understanding of many of the issues faced by people who are injured in nursing homes or at the hands of a healthcare professional.
Ashley is a part of Cohen & Malad, LLP’s sexual abuse and assault litigation team. She represents victims of sexual abuse ranging in age from children to the elderly. One of her current cases involves a nursing home resident who was repeatedly sexually abused by a facility employee who gained unrestricted access to the woman’s room. The firm also represents victims in sexual abuse and assault cases committed in churches, residential care facilities, daycares, schools, and in organized sports.
Ashley spent her years of practice in Chicago fighting nursing home and hospital corporations for the abuse and neglect her clients suffered at the hands of their employees and their deficient practices. She has received accolades from colleagues and opponents alike commending her advocacy and results for nursing home clients and their families as “beyond her years” in experience. Her track record working up cases, taking depositions, and negotiating favorable resolutions has proven invaluable. Her proficiency in analyzing personal injury cases, anticipating defense arguments and tactics, and knowing how to aggressively move cases ensures that the stakeholders on the other side are paying attention.
Ashley has been recognized as an Illinois and Indiana Super Lawyers Rising Star each year since 2015 and was also recognized as an Illinois Super Lawyers Emerging Lawyer. She is an active member of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Association for Justice.
