As Director of Mass Torts at Hilliard Law, Bonnie J. Rickert leads some of the nation’s most complex, high-stakes litigations with strategic precision and unwavering commitment to her clients. She has built and managed large-scale dockets encompassing thousands of clients, earning a reputation for her meticulous case management, collaborative leadership, and ability to secure impactful results.

Bonnie’s leadership spans numerous high-profile matters, including her appointment to the Plaintiffs’ Leadership in the In re: Depo-Provera Multi-District Litigation (MDL No. 3140), where she serves on both the Science & Experts Subcommittee and the Class Action Committee. She also directed Hilliard Law’s litigation against Gilead Sciences, overseeing the settlement of 2,469 cases involving serious bone and kidney injuries, and implementing innovative settlement strategies that maximized client recovery.

Currently, Bonnie manages more than 20,000 active clients across dockets such as Depo-Provera, Video Game Addiction, Purdue, Mallinckrodt, Roundup, and Suboxone. She leads a team of 11 attorneys and 15 support staff, providing mentorship, developing case strategies from intake to settlement, and ensuring compliance with complex court procedures. Her approach combines detailed operational oversight with a focus on client service, reflected in the firm’s consistently high client satisfaction ratings.

Her mass tort experience includes managing large-scale discovery, coordinating with claims administrators to develop settlement matrices, negotiating and implementing Master Settlement Agreements, and designing processes for lien resolution, probate, and heirship matters. She has experience navigating both the legal and logistical challenges of multi-party litigation which includes working collaboratively with counsel on both sides to develop protocols to efficiently progress the case forward, custodian selection and ESI collection from Plaintiffs.

She earned her J.D. magna cum laude from Salmon P. Chase College of Law, is an inductee of the Order of the Coif, and is admitted to practice in multiple state and federal courts.
