Speaker Bio

Mrs. Adams has been a litigator and shareholder with Levin Papantonio Rafferty for over a decade.  For many years, Mrs. Adams handled single event cases involving catastrophic injuries due to faulty products, car crashes, wrongful death, and admiralty/maritime cases.  Mrs. Adams has also litigated complex product cases involving defective heart devices, anti-depressants leading to birth defects, defective UTVs, Zyprexa, Rezulin, Asbestos, and FenPhen, and was the firm’s lead attorney in an antibiotic drug litigation resulting in a multi-millions of dollar settlement for her clients.  

Over the last several years, Mrs. Adams has made it her passion to pursue civil litigation for survivors of human trafficking.   She works hand in hand with national antitrafficking organizations and survivor-advocates to better support her clients and frequently speaks publicly to raise awareness about trafficking and in an effort to help change the perception many have of victims of trafficking.  Currently, she has cases filed throughout the country and she is working with a team of lawyers in litigation against national hotel brands, tech giants, and other business who have profited from victims of sex trafficking and who continue to turn a blind eye to their failures that facilitate trafficking.  Mrs. Adams firmly believes that through litigation will we begin to see a genuine effort by businesses to take action to combat human trafficking.   She along with her team have made unique and novel arguments that she hopes will continue to assist others in coming forward and take action to help survivors.  

In addition to litigating trafficking cases, Mrs. Adams manages the Levin Papantonio Rafferty legal call center and manages the firms co-counsel relationships throughout the country helping many lawyers and firms develop new cases and manage client acquisition.     

Since 2011, Mrs. Adams has been AV® Rated by Martindale-Hubbell®, which is the highest rating achievable by attorneys. Additionally, Mrs. Adams has been selected for inclusion into the Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers since 2013. She is past President of the National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 under 40 and National Women Trial Lawyers Association and a current member of the National Trial Lawyers Top 100.  She is a frequent speaker at national conferences involving all aspects of mass tort litigation and women’s rights.

She is currently licensed to practice law before all Florida courts, including the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida.    

In her free time, she is a Girl Scout leader, bible school teacher at her church, and she loves taking short getaways with her husband and children – even if it is only to the back yard for a picnic.
