Laura serves as Director of Mass Torts for the firm, handling cases on behalf of individuals who have suffered catastrophic injuries or death due to prescription drugs with dangerous side effects or defective medical devices. Laura has extensive trial and litigation experience specific to cases involving complex medical issues. In addition to products liability litigation in the mass torts arena, Laura’s practice also includes handling of wrongful death, medical malpractice and professional negligence claims on behalf of injured parties.
Prior to joining Kenneth S. Nugent, PC as Director of Mass Torts, Laura was a member of the law firm of Weinberg, Wheeler, Hudgins, Gunn & Dial, LLC, where she handled complex defense litigation cases on behalf of corporations. Her experience as a defense litigator provides her with unique insight and the ability to more effectively represent the injured now that she has joined the Plaintiff’s bar.
Laura has been named a Super Lawyer’s Rising Star for the years 2005, 2007 and 2009 – 2014. She was also named a Top 40 Under 40 Lawyer by the American Society of Legal Advocates in 2013.
Originally from Orlando, Florida, Laura has been a resident of Atlanta for over 12 years.
