Rashida is a John Jay College of Criminal Justice alumni. She’s from New York, loves dogs and traveling. She knows a lot of random facts and hates math which is likely one of the reasons she ended up in the legal field. Rashida has worked as a paralegal since 2006 where she began her career handling out of state foreclosure matters which included managing out of state process servers, reviewing pleadings, having a firm understanding of the NYS CPLR and more. Upon deciding to move to Georgia she continued to work in Foreclosure but ended up on the eviction side of the process. She was already familiar and understood the importance of following procedural law but had to work with a much shorter time frame due to Georgia’s laws being completely different. Rashida worked in the dispossessory and evictions department for several years until she moved into civil litigation. This is where Rashida learned the ins and outs of many different legal fields. From construction law, business acquisitions, personal injury and more. With the help and guidance of her legal staff and working closely with Partners in the firm she worked for Rashida was able to develop the skills and patience every senior paralegal needs to succeed. Her leadership skills and hard efforts towards helping others has allowed her to work with several newbies which is a passion of hers.
