Bethann Kagan is a Partner at the Shein Law. She has been successfully protecting the legal rights of victims and families of mesothelioma, lung cancer and other catastrophic injuries for over two decades. During that time she has represented hundreds of families and has obtained many multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. Bethann is respected nationally as an authority on asbestos litigation and frequently speaks at conferences around the country. Bethann’s commitment to people affected by asbestos exposure does not end when she walks out the courthouse after a successful trial. She also volunteers her time to help cancer patients and is very involved with various charities that raise money for cancer research.
Ms. Kagan received her B.B.A. from George Washington University and her law degree from Villanova Law School. Upon graduation from law school, Bethann clerked for the Honorable Sandra Mazer Moss in the Philadelphia Courts where she was very involved in toxic product litigation, including asbestos, DES, breast implants and lead paint. Afterward, Bethann went into private practice and has tried asbestos and other product liability cases throughout the United States.
Ms. Kagan is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and is a member of and sits on committees for local, state and national trial lawyer associations. She has published articles and has been invited to lecture to various audiences, including unions and their members, the medical community and her peers in the legal profession.
Ms. Kagan has been selected as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer. She is a member of The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers as well as a member of the National Asbestos/Mesothelioma Trial Lawyers Association. She is also a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Outside of the practice of law, Bethann is very active in the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness.
