James L. Ferraro, Jr. is a distinguished attorney and shareholder at The Ferraro Law Firm. His career has been dedicated to navigating complex legal landscapes, with a primary focus on asbestos litigation, environmental litigation, and complex personal injury. Since joining The Ferraro Law Firm in 2013, Mr. Ferraro has not only grown as a trial attorney but has played a pivotal role in the firm’s expansion into several high-profile mass tort litigations including, but not limited to, opioid, PFAS, and 3M Combat Arms Ear Plug litigation.

Mr. Ferraro has expanded his horizons by representing municipalities in several litigations. He has also been a driving force behind securing several multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements, such as his role as co-lead counsel in Taylor v. Georgia-Pacific LLC (Miami-Dade County) in 2015, where he secured a remarkable $17,175,000 verdict.

Mr. Ferraro’s commitment to excellence extends to overseeing the firm’s multi district litigation practice, where he currently serves on two different subcommittees within the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee in the in re: Aqueous Film-Forming Foams (AFFF) Products Liability Litigation, MDL 2873. His exceptional work in the legal field has not gone unnoticed, as he has been recognized as one of the “Top 40 Under 40 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyers in Florida” and “Top 40 Under 40” lawyers in South Florida.

Mr. Ferraro is a proud graduate of the University of Miami School of Law and is admitted to practice law in the state of Florida. His time at the University of Miami was not only marked by academic distinction but also by valuable hands-on experience. He served as a judicial intern for United States District Court Judge Robert N. Scola, Jr. and gained practical insights as a law clerk at Grossman and Roth, P.A. During his academic journey, he received a Dean’s Achievement Award.

Prior to obtaining his law degree, Mr. Ferraro earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School with a double major in finance and managing organizations.
