EXPERIENCE
Joost specializes in corporate and commercial litigation with a focus on mass torts litigation. He has significant experience in preventing and resolving disputes relating to, inter alia, shareholder disputes, (international) insolvency and directors’ liability claims in the national and international context. He is active in the field of banking litigation and involved in various mass torts proceedings.

EDUCATION AND CAREER
Graduated from the University of Amsterdam in 2002 (Dutch civil law). Practiced as a corporate litigation lawyer with SpigtHoff Advocaten, later Spigt Litigators (2002-2012). Practiced law as an independent lawyer with a sidestep in environmental governance science as of 2013 (Delft University of Technology and University of Amsterdam). Became a partner at VIOTTA on September 1st 2016.
