Weitz & Luxenberg

Speaker Bio

Kristen Miller has joined Weitz & Luxenberg's dedicated and experienced Environmental, Toxic Torts, and Consumer Protection Practice Group litigation unit. She has joined our select team of attorneys working on behalf of our clients, including those hurt by Roundup®, a weed killer.

“œI am excited to be part of Weitz & Luxenberg's effort to seek justice for our clients who have gotten sick after being exposed to toxic chemicals, including Roundup®,” Ms. Miller says. “œI hope our pursuit of justice will shine a light on corporate malfeasance; and, in turn, help strengthen laws and regulations to protect consumers, so that others do not develop serious illnesses due to toxic and unsafe products.”

Roundup? Contains Glyphosate

Roundup® dominates the consumer and industrial weed-killing market globally. The primary ingredient in Roundup® is glyphosate.

Glyphosate is linked to many forms of cancer and is a carcinogen. Thousands, of people may have developed serious illnesses after being exposed to glyphosate. Millions more people may be at risk of becoming sick.

On behalf of our clients, Ms. Miller is working on our lawsuit against Monsanto, the world's leading manufacturer of glyphosate-containing products. The company is also a leading producer of specially engineered seeds worldwide, including ones designed to withstand the weed killer Roundup®.

Monsanto encourages farmers to use its Roundup Ready® seeds along with Roundup® weed killer. The company touts the advantages of using them, but does not warn people of the potentially severe health consequences, especially non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Legal Fairness Is Our Cornerstone

“œFairness in the legal system is critical,” Ms. Miller insists. “œAnd that's what Weitz & Luxenberg is all about. Justice for all. They have earned a reputation for being zealous advocates for consumers who have been harmed by the actions of companies.”

When corporations value profits before people, the true cost of their corporate wrongdoing is the cost borne by society, to its detriment. As plaintiffs' attorneys, we are tasked with the great responsibility of holding them responsible for their actions and their injurious conduct.”

At Weitz & Luxenberg, we could not agree more. Ms. Miller echoes our sentiments exactly. Seeking justice for our clients has been our mission for over 30 years.

As Ms. Miller states, “œWe want to be advocates for regular, everyday people. I want to empower our clients, to help them help themselves.”

Ms. Miller adds, “œI will make sure they are heard and that we get them the resolution they deserve.”

Justice Is What Drives Us

“œBeing given the opportunity to work with Robin Greenwald is an honor,” Ms. Miller continues. “œShe is a true champion for justice. The Environmental, Toxic Torts, and Consumer Protection Practice Group has a principled sense of social responsibility and has continuously shown a strong commitment to achieving justice for their clients.

“œAdvocating with a purpose, for a better tomorrow for all, is important to me. Being a plaintiffs' attorney means leading a life that when you see inequality, wrongdoing, irresponsible corporate practices, and injustice, you speak loud enough to make your voice heard. We must endeavor to make our legal system fair and just, for all, to ensure it is worthy of being passed on. This is our legacy to pass on to future generations,” Ms. Miller emphasizes.

“œBeing here is exactly where I want to be. It is a perfect blend of my interests: protecting the environment and helping people who have been harmed by large corporations that put profit first. I hope that we can secure justice for our clients now and I am optimistic that the litigation we pursue has the potential to change laws and regulations; so that others may not have to face serious and severe injuries in the future.”
