Forester Haynie

Speaker Bio

Matthew Haynie, a founding partner at Forester Haynie, has dedicated his career to fighting large companies and entities that have put profits before people's lives. Matthew manages the firm's sexual assault and pharmaceutical/medical device litigation teams where he enjoys partnering with clients and their families and helping them navigate the legal process during what is often the most difficult time of their lives. Matthew is honored to have the trust of so many clients and their families as they deal with often life-threatening injuries and the most traumatic events imaginable.

Since starting his career, Matthew has worked on thousands of cases from start to finish. Through his many years of practice, Matthew has developed an in-depth understanding of the legal system and how to best navigate that system on behalf of his clients. In fact, Matthew has helped clients recover tens of millions of dollars in settlements. Though Matthew's career has focused on representing plaintiffs in personal injury litigation, he knew early in life that he wanted to dedicate his career to helping others.

As an undergraduate student, Matthew interned for Andrew Laming, a Queensland House Representative in the Parliament of Australia who was instrumental in gaining access to healthcare for indigenous Australians. Matthew also worked on an award-winning documentary about exiled Tibetans living in refugee camps and monasteries across India. Both of these encounters opened his eyes to the atrocities human beings experience and strengthened his resolve to pursue a career in law that would allow him to seek justice for those who are injured by the wrongful acts of others.

Matthew graduated with his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University's Dedman School of Law in Dallas, Texas. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Journalism from the University of Arkansas, where he graduated magna cum laude. He was a recipient of the Senior Honor Citation, an award given to the top graduating male and female student in each class. Matthew has been named to the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyers, American Academy of Attorneys Top 40 Under 40, a Rising Star by Super Lawyers, and one of the Top 40 under 40 by D Magazine.
