Sarah Ruane, a partner at Wagstaff & Cartmell, has litigated a variety of matters in state and federal courts around the country at the trial and appellate level. She has been extensively involved in all phases and aspects of fact discovery, expert discovery, and motion practice on behalf of plaintiffs in the largest pelvic mesh MDL in the country over the past several years.
Sarah has also worked extensively on fact discovery, expert discovery, and legal motions on behalf of plaintiffs in the National Prescription Opiate Litigation, MDL. Recently, Sarah took a leading role in a sophisticated class action against a large automobile manufacturer involving excessive oil and battery consumption.
Sarah was also involved in successfully defending a putative class action case on behalf of Jackson County, Missouri in a case seeking certification of a class of detainees alleging poor conditions inside the Jackson County Detention Center.
In addition to her nationwide practice, Sarah has been consistently retained to represent various businesses in matters ranging from product liability claims, fraud, and commercial disputes.
