A landmark decision in the social media addiction litigation brings plaintiffs one step closer to justice. On October 16, 2023, Judge Carolyn B. Kuhl of the Superior Court of California, Los Angeles County, ruled that negligence and fraud claims on behalf of adolescents and parents can proceed against social media companies Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Snapchat, TikTok, and YouTube. Judge Kuhl oversees the Social Media JCCP, which contains hundreds of cases filed by plaintiffs from around the country. In this webinar, Lead Counsel for the Plaintiffs in the JCCP will discuss this monumental ruling and what it means for the litigation moving forward.
