The Future of Deposition Records: From Transcript to Searchable Intelligence

Mass tort teams are drowning in deposition transcripts, exhibits, and PDFs—yet critical testimony often remains locked in static documents that are difficult to search, compare, and reuse across a docket.

Disorganized exhibits and incomplete testimony tracking can also increase defensibility challenges, discovery disputes, and even sanctions exposure in high-stakes cases. This session explores how leading firms are modernizing deposition record management by moving from document storage to structured, searchable deposition knowledge. Attendees will learn emerging best practices for building depo libraries, organizing testimony by issue and theme, and using new approaches—including AI—to scale speed, consistency, and risk reduction across high-volume litigation.

Visuals in Voir Dire, Argument & Evidence; Building Your Closing Throughout the Case with Visuals

Lawyers have always used visuals at trial. But until recently lawyers were limited to using the chalkboard and the flip chart. Now we have amazing technology—like document cameras, Canva/PowerPoint, and AI—to create visuals that helps teach the jury what they need to know about the case. This lecture will teach you how to: (1) create trial ready visuals live in depositions; (2) use visuals (basic ones) in voir dire; (3) create visuals for opening to frame your case themes; (4) create visuals with witnesses live in trial; and (5) incorporate these visuals into your closing argument.
