MTMP Fall 2025 Seminar Agenda
Choose Your Path. Attend Any Session at Any Time.
The MTMP multi-track agenda allows for sessions to run concurrently, and attendees are able to move easily from one track to another. This format allows attendees to maximize their ability to choose the sessions that are of most importance to their practice. Here is a description of the various tracks:

Mass Tort Projects
In these sessions, you will hear directly from the lawyers on the front lines of the largest and most pressing current hot mass tort projects. Gain insights on where the project is headed and how you can avoid being left behind. You can’t get this kind of content anywhere but at MTMP.

Business of Law
The Business of Law Track is an opportunity to hear from leaders in the legal industry as they share their insights as to what is new and trending. This is the part of MTMP where you can find out what you can do to really grow your practice.

Nuts & Bolts of Mass Torts
If you are an attorney just learning about mass torts, or attending MTMP for the first time, or if you are a paralegal who supports attorneys in a mass tort practice, then the Nuts & Bolts of Mass Torts Track is perfect for you. Learn the basics of how a mass tort case initiates and progresses, and the difference between mass torts and class actions.

Trial Skills
The best way to ensure top settlements is to first ensure you have the skills to try the case. Hear from some of the most successful trial attorneys in mass torts today. They will walk you through the skills that have worked for them as they tried the toughest cases in the country. We will also talk specifically about the most effective practices for taking depositions in mass tort cases.

PARALEGAL SKILLS
MTMP added a track to teach your paralegals the skills they need to become an invaluable part of your team. We offer practical sessions addressing issues that paralegals deal with every day, including communication, drafting complaints, plaintiff fact sheets, and so much more. This is a great chance for paralegals to also connect with paralegals from around the country and share insights and best practices.

GLP-1RA/Ozempic MDL UpdateThe GLP-1 RA litigation heats up again with new injuries and parallel litigation tracks. In addition to the existing gastrointestinal injury cases being filed in MDL No. 3094 (E.D. Pa.), plaintiffs are now seeking consolidated multi-county litigation (MCL) in New Jersey state court for Non-Arteritic Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy (NAION) injuries. As report in JAMA Ophthalmology (2024;142;(8):732-739), a team of Harvard researchers published a cohort study supporting a near seven fold increased risk of NAION in patients treating with semaglutide. Join us at Mass Torts Made Perfect at the Bellagio, Law Vegas to learn more about these developments and how to get involved. |

Holding Roblox Accountable for Enabling Child Sexual PredationOnline child sexual predation is a growing epidemic in this country. And Roblox has played a huge role in fueling the crisis. The company heavily markets its app as safe and appropriate for kids—but the reality is far different. Roblox’s design allows pedophiles to identify, target, and groom kids with ease. Predators can misrepresent their ages, masquerade as children, and use the app’s games to “befriend” and communicate with young players. “Robux,” the app’s online currency, also provides a powerful tool for predators to coerce kids into providing information, sending explicit images, and meeting up in person. Often, predators also use encrypted or ephemeral messaging apps like Discord or Snap to get at these kids, and these apps only escalate the danger. This session will address the growing efforts by families to hold Roblox and other Big Tech players accountable for the harm their actions have caused kids. Come learn about the status of more than 25 cases now filed in federal and state courts across the country as well as our firms’ plans to continue this important fight for online child safety. |
